The chart above illustrates drugs that can be detected, the metabolite; a byproduct of the body’s liver breaks down a drug into a different substance. Everyone metabolizes drugs the same way. Time: This is the estimated time that these drugs can be detected.
The testing process takes less than six minutes with a window of detection from a few hours to two to three days, depending on the drug, how often used and the individual’s metabolic rate.

How to use the O-Trust Oral Drug Test Tube:
This device is very straightforward to use. The donor places the applicator into their mouth and saliva from within the mouth is absorbed into the foam. After a few minutes, the administrator places the applicator back into the test tube. This process squeezes out the saliva from the saturated sponge into the testing assay. In less than ten minutes, the results appear on the faces of the tube.
Visual explanation:
Step 1
Remove the test tube and the sponge collector from the foil pouch by tearing at the notch. Place the test tube upright and on a level surface. Remove the applicator from its packet.
Step 2
Put the sponge end of the applicator into the mouth. Rub the sponge around the mouth until it becomes soft. Then place under the tongue for about three (3) minutes or until a red color appears on the saturation indicator. Do not chew or suck on the sponge. If the color on the saturation indicator has not turned red within seven (7) minutes, repeat the collection using a new device, beginning with Step 1.
Step 3
Place the saturated sponge inside the test cube. Screw the lid tight until it reaches the bottom of the test tube. This process will compress the sponge releasing the saliva for analysis. Keep the test tube upright on a flat surface and go to Step 4.
Step 4
Interpreting Drug Test Results:
Read results at five (5) minutes. A negative result is identified by the appearance of two lines. The intensity of the lines does not matter. A positive result is identified by the appearance of a line in the C region on the face of the tube but no line in the T region. If no lines appear the result is invalid; this is due to an insufficient saliva sample. Repeat the analysis with a new test.
Test Result Overview:
NEGATIVE. Two lines will appear. *The top line is the control line (C), the other line below is the test line (T). The result is negative and that the drug concentration was below the detectable level.
*NOTE: If a faint distinguishable color line is visible the result is negative. The shade of the (T) line will vary, and be noticeable.
POSITIVE. Only one line (C) appears. The apparent (T) line will not be visible. This positive result indicates that the drug concentration is above the cut-off level.
INVALID. If no control line appears, it indicates there is insufficient specimen volume. Review the procedure and repeat the process using a new device. If the problem persists, discontinue using the lot and immediately contact us.
