A panel is the part of a drug test that collects and displays the information for a specific drug. There are many panels available and each one will display the result for a particular drug.
When someone says “a five panel drug test” what do they mean? It means a drug test for five drugs, but it could be a combination of any drugs. The most common being: Cocaine, Amphetamines, Marijuana, Opiates and Phencyclidine.
There are many combinations available to suit your needs. The more panels the better, that way you stand a better chance of catching the abuser.
How many Panels do I Need?
Simple answer, the more the better. Panels represent drugs, so each panel tests for a specific drug.
A five-panel drug test may be exactly what you need, but if you are not sure then use at least a ten panel.
A five-panel detects 5 drugs of abuse. A ten-panel detects 10 drugs of abuse.
A ten panel is highly recommended as it’s expanding the possibilities for drug detection. And may pick up a drug you didn’t expect to see.
